About Tessa
Tessa Winslow is a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. She holds a masters degree in School and Counselling Psychology and an undergraduate degree in psychology. Her graduate research was focused on interpersonal trauma and posttraumatic growth, which lends her practice with a strong foundation. Since 2018, Tessa has been providing services to incarcerated individuals with complex mental health needs. She came to City Psychology with experience aiding with a broad range of concerns such as trauma, anger, ADHD, psychosis/unusual experiences, paranoia, depression, and suicidality. Tessa’s approach is warm, non-judgemental, and incorporates humor when appropriate. She draws from her knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy (trauma therapy), dialectical behavioural therapy, and mindfulness. Tessa has lived experience with both shift work (aviation) and correctional settings, which makes her a strong fit for those managing workplace stressors. Tessa holds the Applied Practice Endorsement (APE), meaning she can assess and communicate psychological diagnoses.
